Chedworth Villa by Hannah Smith
Chedworth Villa is a Roman villa from the 4th century AD in lovely
countryside near Cirencester. The site was originally excavated
during Victorian times. Our visit started with a 15 minute video
explaining all about the site.
There are a number of examples of mosaic floors and bathhouses
under covered areas and there are many roman walls.
There are a number of hypocausts that are visible and a museum
where roman coins and other artefacts that were found at the site
are on display.

Tip - take a picnic lunch because there is no cafe as the
site does not have mains water.
